Care & Size Guidance
The Ponytail palm isn’t actually a palm but is related to yucca and needs similar treatment.
Water frequently during summer, allowing the compost to dry out in between, and then sparingly during winter. Use a clay pot if possible; the porous material will absorb some of the water, drying out the soil more quickly.
If kept dry Beaucarnea recurvata can tolerate a good deal of frost but if even a little damp the bulbous stem will rot.
All Beaucarnea make slow growing, adaptable and tolerant specimens for the summer patio, house, conservatory or greenhouse.

Perfectly happy plant, smaller than on the photo but I knew that. Does not seem to be traumatized by transport as it was so quick. Fourth purchase from the Palm centre, 4 happy plants.

What an amazing service! I ordered a Beaucarnea recurvata – 30 ltr pot and a Hedychium coccineum – 3 ltr pot online on Sunday, 6 July and received both of these plants in excellent condition today, Wednesday, 9 July. The packaging was absolutely brilliant and the plants were protected so well during transit. There was no soil in the pots lost at all when opened on arrival due to their brilliant packaging! I have been able to recycle most of this packaging! This is the second time I have ordered
