Verschaffelt agave

A small and highly attractive agave from the semi-deserts of Mexico. Agave potatorum can happily live its entire life in a pot, making it the perfect addition to your collection.

Hardy to about -10°C if kept dry, it is definitely worth trying outdoors in the milder parts of the country.

Will stay rather compact until maturity when it can send up a 4 metre flower spike.

As with other Agaves, use a very well-draining potting mix and keep very dry during winter
