In spring it emerges a luminous salmon pink, turning green in summer and finally becoming a brilliant scarlet and orange in autumn, giving ‘Deshojo’ a wide range of seasonal interest. In addition to the attractive foliage, small red flowers appear in spring, sometimes followed by wing shaped fruits in autumn.

Care & Size Guidance
Acer palmatum ‘Deshojo’ needs a sheltered position, out of cold winds, and it is intolerant of chalk. The colour of the leaves appears best in part shade, though full sun can be tolerated with enough watering. Excessive sun exposure can scorch the leaves when they are young.
