A sought after variegated cultivar of the iconic South American Peace Lily. Dark green foliage contrasts with the pale marbled variegation of speckles and streaks, resulting in an elegant yet striking choice of Peace Lily.

Despite being somewhat rare, this plant is nonetheless easy to care for.

Plant Biography

An unusual variegated form of Spathiphyllum wallisii, the parent species of the ‘Diamond’ cultivar is native to Colombia and Venezuela

Spathiphyllum ‘Diamond’ is a particularly dense, full cultivar with notably horizontally reaching leaves and, of course, its stunning variegation.

It produces a cream coloured flower, recognisably typical of Peace Lily’s with spathe and spadix structures.

This plant likes a spot further away from bright windows, but still lit by natural light.

Soil: Indoor Potting Mix

Enjoys moist well drained soil with composted organics and some drainage material.

Temperature: 18-22°C

Temperature range at which this plant is healthiest and grows best.

Expect to see moderate growth during growing season.

Final size will be suitable for a table, plant stand, or large strong shelf.

Water Requirement: Light Watering

Water when several cm of soil depth is dry to the touch. Water must draining easily away.

Requires no attention beyond correct position and watering. An ideal starter plant!

This indoor plant is a particularly good air purifier, in fact it was amongst the top plants for cleaning air in NASA's clean air study, successfully breaking down benzene, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide.
