Care & Size Guidance

Pseudosasa japonica is a very tolerant bamboo, useful for creating screens in shaded areas against fences or under the shade of trees. It’s also suitable for container growing.

Pseudosasa japonica absolutely requires installation of root barrier to prevent it from becoming invasive, which you can find in the Accessories category.

Was a little dubious ordering a plant unseen, however I neednt have worried. My bamboo came on schedule, very well packaged and much better, bigger and healthier than I could have expected. Very happy customer and already recommended The Palm Centre to family and friends

Really disappointed with the size – I ordered a plant 175-200 cm tall. Plant I received was no more than 140 cm from the top of the pot

The Palm Centre reply: Dear David, we’re sorry for the situation. My colleagues in Customer Support are in touch with you to remedy the situation.

I spent ages looking for decent Bamboo Plants. Luckily I eventually found the Palm Centre online – the website was great and the information and photos of the plants excellent. The plant arrived very quickly and was superbly packaged. We were very impressed with the quality and condition of the plant and it now has pride of place in our garden. The price we paid was also superb. Overall a great service and we would highly recommend this business and would certainly look to use them again in the future.
