Plant Biography

Origanum rotundifolium ‘Kent Beauty’ is a semi-evergreen trailing sub-shrub with lax stems of rounded blue-green leaves and, early summer through to autumn, strange clustered whorls of pinkish-white flowers amongst deep pink bracts, strongly reminiscent of hop flowers. These remain in good shape into winter, slowly fading in colour as the seasons change. Great in a rock garden or dry border, can be tricky to establish and, once there, best left undisturbed.
