Plant Biography
Geranium is a genus of 422 species of flowering plants found throughout the temperate regions of the world and the mountains of the tropics. The genus name is derived from the Greek géranos meaning ‘crane’. The common name is ‘cranesbill’, which is a reference to the shape of the seed pod on some species of Geranium which look like the bill of crane when unopened.

This particular variety was bred by renowned plantsman Alan Bremner from the Orkney Islands, Scotland.
