Plant Biography
From Sichuan Province in China this unusual clumping bamboo has a range of uses in contemporary gardens in the UK.
The species name ‘jiuzhaigou’ (pronounced ‘Ju-Zie-Gao’) translates to ‘the valley of nine villages’, a reference to a series of 9 old Tibetan villages that once inhabited the valley.
Grow it as a stand-alone specimen either in the ground or in a pot or planter, along the back of a border where it will provide an effective, dense, noise-reducing screen, or even as a hedge which can easily be trimmed to the preferred size and shape.

Excellent healthy specimen. Arrived extremely well packaged for protection during transit (as usual with this company). I bought this when on offer, but would have been happy to pay full price. Will be buying more of them while they are on offer. Excellent service.
