‘Fragrant Cloud’ is a male cultivar, which means none of the familiar bright red berries will be produced. However, you are richly compensated in other ways. Colourful tight heads of pinky buds form at the tips of the branches in winter providing interest until they burst open in early spring, flooding the garden with the sweetest of scents. An ability to cope with unfavourable situations such as dry shade make this little shrub an invaluable addition to the garden.
