A new and incredibly striking compact cultivar of the beloved Peace Lily, Spathiphyllum ‘Sweet Chico’ flaunts a fountain of rich glossy green leaves and an elegant lily flower which is long lasting and returns regularly, given adequate care.

This clump forming Peace Lily is one of the easiest plants to care for – a perfect choice for a shady corner in any home.

Plant Biography

Originating from South America, Spathiphyllum were first introduced to Europe from the jungles of Colombia in 1824.

This particular cultivar ‘Sweet Chico’ was bred from a chance mutation of the parent variety Spathiphyllum ‘Sweet Benito’.

When compared to other Spathiphyllum cultivars, ‘Sweet Rocco’ exhibits particularly dense foliage on the lower part of the plant, early development of basal clumps which give it a full appearance, and consistently darker foliage than many other cultivars.

Expert Tip

This indoor plant is a particularly good air purifier, in fact it was amongst the top plants for cleaning air in NASA's clean air study, successfully breaking down benzene, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide.
