Plant Biography
Originating from South America, Spathiphyllum were first introduced to Europe from the jungles of Colombia in 1824.
This particular cultivar ‘Sweet Chico’ was bred from a chance mutation of the parent variety Spathiphyllum ‘Sweet Benito’.
When compared to other Spathiphyllum cultivars, ‘Sweet Rocco’ exhibits particularly dense foliage on the lower part of the plant, early development of basal clumps which give it a full appearance, and consistently darker foliage than many other cultivars.
